Why do industrial processes need Plastic Level Sensors?

Most chemical holding tanks require a palstic liquid level senosr to continuously monitor the liquid level within the tank to ensure the industries have the required amount to run their process. Chemical level sensors can be offered in many different technologies, but the most accurate and reliable is a submersible plastic level sensor. A submersible liquid level senosr is dropped into a chemical holding tank and monitors the level by head pressure or weight of the chemical on a sensing diaphragm.

The submersible plastic level is being used by many industries and in many industrial processes because of variety of its uses. It will provide a 4-20mA output that can be ran to a TVU or TVL local display or a PLC that exists within the facility. Levelpro manufactures a complete line of thermoplastic level instrumentation and one of their core products is the 100-series submersible plastic level sensor. The 100-series submersible plastic level sensor is available in PVC, PP, PVDF and 316SS which enables the customer to select a material suitable for their application, and the 100-series submersible plastic level sensor provides a solution to even the most corrosive media.

The 100-series submersible plastic level sensor features a ceramic sensing diaphragm, and Levelpro has standardized on a KALREZ O-ring to eliminate the human error of selection between EPDM and VITON. The 100-series submersible plastic level sensor has an FEP Teflon coated cable that will not be attacked when installed in corrosive chemical holding tank applications.

When a local chemical distributor was searching for a plastic level sensor that would cater to their many different product offerings, they initially tried an ultrasonic plastic level sensor but immediately found that the vapor would throw off the readings and the drivers would not be able to accurately monitor the current tank level while filling customer’s tanks. The solution was the 100-series submersible Chemical Level Sensors which is not subject to the atmosphere above the liquid level, so foam, vapor, turbulence and condensation will not influence the plastic level sensor monitoring the level providing accurate readings all the time. The 100-series submersible plastic level sensor come complete with an installation fitting that threads directly into a 2” bulkhead fitting or threaded flange located on the top of the holding tank and adapts to standard installation fitting requirements.

The 100-series submersible plastic level sensor has proven successful even in the most demanding applications and the local chemical distribution company has never been more satisfied with a plastic level sensor than the 100-series submersible all plastic Chemical Level Sensor So, if you are a chemical distribution company and still unaware about this advance equipment. You really need to visit market and to get the best one for your company’s processes

User Friendly Liquid Level Senors Providing Flow Control With Protection & Security

Incorporating a liquid level sensor is no longer a choice when it comes to determining or controlling your liquid level within a tank or sump application, liquid level sensors are a must, especially when dealing with dangerous or corrosive media that could potentially cause harm to a person or the environment if miss-handled. There are a lot of out-dated liquid level sensors in the field today and it is important that the operators look at replacement their old technology with a new liquid level sensor that will work reliably.

Technology is always improving, therefore it is important to select a liquid level sensor with up to date technology. I have been in many facilities where they were still using a sight glass as a liquid level sensor, this is essentially a piece of pipe with a sticker on it that would allow the operator to identify where his liquid level was at by using this outdated liquid level sensor. I stated the importance of replacing this style liquid level sensor with a new liquid level sensor that would use up to date technology and communicate remotely via cellular networks so that even if no one was present, they could still use the liquid level sensor to ensure everything is business as usual.

Remote tank monitoring through cloud based websites is the newest technology in the liquid level sensor marketplace. The liquid level sensor would be mounted on the tank and would communicate via 4-20mA signal to a telemetry device that would be mounted toward the bottom of the tank. The telemetry liquid level sensor would have an internal SIM card so it could communicate with a cell tower and transmit the current tank reading. The liquid level sensor would ping the cell tower and upload the newly recorded information to a cloud based website where the customer could view what the liquid level sensor is telling him, even when he is

n’t presently close to the liquid level sensor.

The liquid level sensors can upload readings three times per day which is fantastic for any chemical distributor or any company that makes pick-ups at customer locations. The customer can adjust and incorporate set points within the liquid level sensor program bar so that he gets an email or text message when the tank is in a high or low level condition. Deciding the implement telemetry based liquid level sensor, the customer will also have data logging capabilities that will save directly to their cloud based web interface and enable them to use the liquid level sensor to determine just how often the customer is using their products.

The data logging technology when used with a liquid level sensors is great for monitoring customer usages and preventing any competitors from coming in and filling a customer tank with the distributors knowledge. Liquid level sensor acts as a means to protect your investment and account, these liquid level sensors will also enable the customer to view a quick snap shot of all tanks at the same time to ensure everything is under control and regulated. Liquid level sensors are serving their best in various areas of industrial processes. Choose the best one as per your needs.

TK Series- Plastic Flow Meters For Industrial Measurement

When it comes to measure not only the fluidity but  to maintain accuracy, to measure the flow rate and to maximize the efficiency with possible lower cost, industrial person eagerly try to make sure that they fulfill their industrial requirements .For such industrial needs a complete line of Plastic paddlewheel flow meters and other measuring instruments are available in market to satisfy the industrial needs as efficiently as possible.

Icon Process Controls offers Truflo, the largest all plastic flow meter line. Truflo includes all the plastic TK series, including; paddle wheel flow meter, LSS series insertion style paddle wheel flow meter, Ultraflow ultrasonic flow meter, battery operated paddle wheel flow meter, turbine flow meter, PM series in-line magnetic flow meter and all plastic rotameters. The materials used for production include PVC, polypropylene, PE, PVDF, PSU and Teflon. The pipes come in a variety of sizes, ranging from ¼” to 24”.

The Truflo ultraflo 4000 ultrasonic flow meter was used to measure pulsating flow pumping from a diaphragm pump; this was remarkable as the pulsating flow is unable to be measured by any other technology. To protect the pump from running dry, causing it to be damaged, a pulse output was supplied by the Ultraflo 4000 Ultrasonic Plastic Flow meter, this allowed for the pump to be shut down when it reached a certain flow rate.

The Truflo Propulse Mini Plastic Flow Meter was used on chemical feed skids. Owing to its small 3/8” connections and low flow abilities, it was easy to monitor the dose of chemicals. this too, contains the pump protection mechanism by supplying a pulse output.  In addition to connecting the plastic flow meter direct to the LevelPro TVF Series LED Display, Controller, Totalizer, and Batch Controller help to keep the batches accurate and relay outputs for pump protection and alarms, allowing for flawless working of the application.
